  did you know...

Frames are an arguable subject and many design agencies I know of rely on them to *enhance* the user experience. I personally never have used them and never will.

As far as HTML is concerned Search Engines are blind to HTML Layout of the page, and they simply crawl through the page line by line to find relevant content.

  frames & images

Only a few crawlers can associate the information in FRAMESETs with the base URL of a document. In order to get such pages indexed appropriately the file containing the <FRAMESET> tag should include a META description tag and a META keywords tag which describe the entire site. It is also helpful to provide a <NOFRAMES> section containing text which completely and accurately describes the entire site.

When submitting your URL, all pages linked from the frameset have to be submitted as most crawlers do not follow all the links!

If the page consists mainly of graphics, use the META description and META keywords tags to describe the page and the image ALT tag to add a description to each image.
